2013 saw Edwin Goh appear in his first significant acting role as the lead in the Singaporean drama series “The Dream Makers.” He portrayed Xu Guangming, a young man who wanted to be a prosperous businessman but encountered many obstacles on the road.
The show enjoyed tremendous success and was recognized with numerous honors, including Best Drama Series at the Star Awards. Goh participated in a number of other Singaporean dramas after finding popularity in “The Dream Makers,” including “Tiger Mum,” “The Queen,” and “While We Are Young.”
Additionally, he made his film debut in 2015 with the release of “1965,” a film about Singapore’s independence. Edwin Goh is a skilled singer in addition to being an actor. In 2016, he released “Be Your Own,” his debut song, which was well-received and helped him build a sizable fan base.
Since then, he has recorded a number of other singles and appeared at numerous music festivals and performances. Goh has also dabbled with hosting, acting as a host for a number of TV shows and events. He served as the host of the 2018 Asian Television Awards as a guest host on “The 5 Show,” a well-known chat show in Singapore.
Goh undertook a brand-new endeavor in 2020 when he signed up to compete in the reality TV program “MasterChef Singapore.” Despite having no prior culinary training, he swiftly won over the audience’s favor and advanced to the top five before losing.
