The well-known motor racer Brad Wildes of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on January 03, 2024, after a protracted fight with cancer.
Born on June 15, 1981, Wildes was not just a talented driver but also a strong person who bravely overcame hardship both on and off the racetrack.
Although the details of his condition were kept under wraps, it was eventually made public that Brad had been battling a deadly disease with great valor but finally had lost the fight.
His wife, Jessica Wildes, acknowledged the difficult and brave battle Brad had faced and posted the devastating news on social media, expressing her sadness.
Brad was referred to as The Wildman throughout his career, a nickname that both his talent for racing and his vivacious personality.
His many triumphs and titles at Tomah Sparta Speedway left a lasting influence on the racing world. His #55 Lambert Forest Products Chevrolet served as a track icon for his aptitude and zeal.
The racing world was shocked to learn that cancer was a major factor in Brad Wildes’ demise.
It brought to light the terrible truth of the toll that severe diseases can have, even on those as resilient as Brad.
