He is currently serving as Chief Meteorologist at WGAL TV in Lancaster Pa since August 1987. He reports Evening forecasts at WAGAL News 8. Joe is working as Adjunct Professor at Millersville University since 1990. Previously he worked at KETV TV as a Meteorologist in Omaha reporting on the morning and weekend newscasts. During his stay at KETV TV, he produced half an hour severe weather safety and awareness program known as “When the Siren Sounds”.
Joe worked at Manheim Township High School as a High School Basketball Coach for seventeen years and one month. His career life kicked off after graduating from Penn State University and later joining Freese-Notis Weather, Inc. in Des Moines, Iowa for more than one year.
In addition, Joe has attained the Seal of Approval for Television Weathercasting in May 1984, from the American Meteorological Society. He is an award winner of the Ak-Sar-Ben Gold Award. She Iris Award from the National Association of Television Program Executives.
