Bonzi Wells

Bonzi Wells

Everything you need to know about Bonzi Wells, covering essential background.

When Wells was younger, he used to attend the game as a cheerleader, and on one of those occasions, his uncle, who also happened to be the coach, pulled him up from the sidelines. He claims that in order to be the best, he truly played hard. He quickly rose to the top and continued to play at Ball State University and Muncie Central High School.

After graduating from college, Wells continued his career as a small forward/shooting guard with the Portland Trail Blazers from 1998 to 2003. He also played for the Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, New Orleans Hornets, Shanzi Zhongyu, and Capitanes de Arecibo.

Bonzi, on the other hand, experienced his fair share of slip-ups both on and off the court. Once, after being removed from a game, he publicly cursed his coach, earning him a two-game suspension from the Blazers. Another time, Bonzi received a fine for making an offensive gesture to a spectator during a losing game.
