Blake Bozeman, the son of former Bears coach Todd Bozeman and a former Morgan State basketball player, was involved in the deadly nightclub shooting in D.C. He was gunned down at the Cru Lounge on the 1300 block of H Street in Northeast Washington, D.C.
The tragic event occurred around 11:50 p.m. on that dreadful Saturday night when three other persons were also slain. According to local officials, Bozeman was soon brought to a neighboring hospital, where he died from his injuries. Morgan State University, where Blake had established a reputation, later confirmed that the 31-year-old victim was indeed Blake.
Other casualties included two men and a woman who were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Following this heinous crime, authorities identified a suspect, a Black man standing roughly 5 feet 7 inches tall and dressed in a white/cream sweater and a black cap.
