Bess Rous was a competitive ice dancer in the past. At the age of 15, the native of Short Hills, New Jersey, began ice skating at the University of Delaware’s Ice Skating Science Development Center in Newark, Delaware.
She formally quit at the age of 18 after abandoning any hopes of becoming a world-class ice skater in favor of acting.
Rous moved on to the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. She also has an acting certificate from the London Academy of Theatre in England.
