Foad Makhmoor was a 61-year-old resident of Wellington. He was on the designated bike lane when he was struck and killed by Jason Ryan Karvois.
According to reports, Karvois crashed his dark blue Infiniti Qx80 SUV into Makhmoor around 7 p.m. on December 9. The impact occurred along the 8900 block of Okeechobee, near Sansburys Way.
Eyewitnesses reported that Karvois swerved and collided with Makhmoor. He was riding in the designated bicycle lane at the time of the crash.
