Rachel Meghan Markle
Rachel Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, is an American member of the British royal family and a former actress. Born on August 4, 1981, in Los Angeles, California, Markle graduated from Northwestern University School in theatre and international relations.
Meghan’s mother, Doria, worked as a clinical therapist, while her father, Thomas, was a television lighting and photography director. She appeared in several TV series before landing the role of Rachel Zane on the USA Network show Suits. Markle has also appeared on big-screen in Horrible Bosses, Dater’s Handbook, Anti-Social, and others.
When Meghan was only 11, she wrote a letter to various notable personalities, including then-First Lady Hillary Clinton, about a TV advertisement featuring the idea of women being bogged down by greasy cookware.
After seeing the Ad, she deemed the ad sexist as her male classmates started yelling that the kitchen is where women belong. She has always been a strong woman.
