Club Career

Anssumane Fati signed a professional contract with FC Barcelona on 24th July 2019. The deal was extended for two further seasons till 30th June 2022. He made his first-team debut from La Liga against Real Betis on the 25th of August 2019. Later Fati came as a substitute for Carlos Perez in 2019/20 league season.

Ansu became the second-youngest player to play for Barca First Team at the age of 16 years and 298 days.

Ansu Fati scored his first professional goal against Osasuna on 31st August and became the youngest player to score in the league for Barcelona.

Anssumane Fati also became the youngest player to score and assist in the same match in the history of La Liga. Fati Scored against Valencia on 14th September 2019. In the same match, he assisted Frankie de Jong’s goal in the 7th minute of the match. He is also the younger player to score a goal at Camp Nou.

Anssumane Fati also became the youngest player to play Champions League for FC Barcelona. He made his Champions League debut against Borussia Dortmund.

On the 10th of December 2019, Ansu Fati became the youngest goalscorer in the Champions League at the age of 17 years and 40 days. He scored against Inter Milan at the San Siro.

Ansu Fati also became the youngest player ever to score a Brace in La Liga on the 2nd of February 2020. He scored both goals against Levante UD.

International Career

On the 20th of September 2019, Fati was granted Spanish Citizenship. Later on the 11th of October 2019, he was called by the Spanish under-21 team after the injury of Carloz Perez. On the 15th of October 2019, Fati made his debut for the Spanish under-21 team against Montenegro.
