In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Anna made her acting debut as Romilda Vane, the fourth-year girl who tried to use a love potion on Harry. Then, in 2010 and 2011, she returned to the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows franchise as Hermione Granger.
She was cast as Ruby in the British serial opera Hollyoaks in 2011 after her popularity in the fantasy movie. Since then, she has appeared in series like Fearless, Class, and Glue (2014). (2017).
According to a December 2010 article in The Liverpool Echo, Ruby, a gifted artist, would be joining Hollyoaks on television. Ruby is Duncan Button’s sister in the television program. Then Shaffer went to the Leanne Holiday audition, but Ruby was ultimately cast in Shaffer’s place.
Shaffer relocated to Liverpool for her job, where Hollyoaks was filmed. She started recording her scenes in late 2010. The episode that aired on January 3, 2011, was Shaffer’s first appearance as Ruby.
In May 2011, Shaffer’s exit from Hollyoaks was made public. However, this didn’t happen. Additionally, it was revealed that Anna Shaffer would debut in 2019 as Triss Merigold in the Netflix series The Witcher.
She participated in Warehouse Republic’s YDEK music video in 2012 in addition to her acting career. She had an appearance as “Heather” in a Glue episode in 2014, then in 2016, she started acting as “Rachel” in Class.
