Rose had only been working in the ink industry for two years when she received the chance to appear on the Paramount program “Ink Master.” A total of 18 contestants competed fiercely to defeat one another in order to win the $100,000 prize and the opportunity to be featured in Inked Magazine. Although Fergerstrom gave it her all, she was unable to compete with masters like Tony Medellin, Adam Turk, and Tiffer Wright. She was eliminated in the eighth round while she was on team Christian.
Rose experienced frustration after being evicted, but instead of losing confidence, she improved her abilities and honed her craft. Her neo-traditional tattoos soon gained her the attention of locals in Los Angeles. She accepted the “Ink Master” team’s invitation to return to the program in 2020. In addition to defeating performers like Kelly Severtson, Frank Ready, Hiram Casas, and Jimmy Snaz that year, she also advanced to the finals.
