Allison has known she wanted to be a meteorologist since she was a little girl. Although her parents were very supportive of her interest, they occasionally expressed fear due to the potential risks.
In 2003, she enrolled in Ohio State University’s Bachelor of Science degree in order to advance her profession. 2008 saw her graduate with a concentration in atmospheric sciences and meteorology.
She belonged to the Meteorology Club of Delta Delta Sorority while attending college.
WCMH-TV was where she got her first job as an intern meteorologist.
She started working as an intern in meteorology on WCMH-TV in 2007. In 2007, her internship ran from September to December. Her primary responsibility was to support the meteorological department and use WSI to develop weather forecast graphics.
Then, in 2008, following the conclusion of her internship, Chattanooga’s WTVC-TV became interested in her. She got a job as a meteorologist for on-camera. Her primary responsibilities were writing, producing, and anchoring weekly sign language predictions; creating visuals; and anchoring forecasts.
