On December 27, 1983, Jacob Landry was born in Pierre Part, Louisiana. Along with his two brothers, he grew up in Louisiana. His father introduced him to marshes at a young age as the guardian of the family’s hunting heritage. He is the sixth generation of hunters in his family.
He was born into a family with such a legacy, therefore he was brave from an early age. In Louisiana’s marshes, he spent time with his father, where he acquired the knowledge required to succeed as a reptile hunter.
Alligator hunter Troy Landry, his father, is well-known in the industry. He was employed by the family’s distribution and trading company for crawfish and alligator hunting.
He was a French pioneer and of Caucasian heritage. Jacob’s mother, Benita Landry, was a bank teller and a teacher at Pierre Part Elementary. She supported the professional endeavors of her son and husband and later joined the family company. Additionally, she worked with the History Channel.
