In 2010, the Sao Jose-RS product signed with its first squad and started playing professionally. He was, however, only loaned to Luverdense for the playing season. When his contract with the team expired, the goaltender promised to sign with Mexican football club Queretaro on December 20, 2014. He later made his way back to Brazil, where in 2019 he agreed to a one-year deal with Sao Paulo.
Tiago Volpi played in 159 games throughout his three years with Paulo before leaving for the Mexican league and joining Toluca in 2022. He has one goal so far for Toluca in 22 league outings.
