David Caruso’s acting career began with supporting roles in various films. Among the films from this era were First Blood, An Officer and a Gentleman, Twins, and China Girl.
After more than ten years of working little parts in the TV series NYPD Blue, David landed his first important role. For his detective work on the show, he became well-known and got praise.
David, on the other hand, abruptly left the program to pursue a career in the film industry. He returned to television after failing to achieve real success there. He played Michael Hayes in the CBS drama Michael Hayes.
David’s major break came in the 2000 film Proof of Life, in which he also starred. He also appeared in the critically acclaimed ten-season television series CSI: Miami.
