The second of three brothers, Andrew Spade was born on December 24, 1962, in Birmingham, Michigan, in the United States.
His family moved to Arizona when he was nine, and there he attended Arizona State University. In his college years, he and a classmate started the advertising agency Spade and Hannawel, which was eventually recognized as one of Arizona’s top ten new firms in 1987.
Since their marriage began in 1994, Andy and Kate Brosnahan, better known as Kate Spade, had one kid. But after Kate’s suicide in 2018, Andy released a statement in which he acknowledged Kate’s sadness but noted that she was taking medicine. However, the two were not living together when she tragically passed away.
