Christina Harrison, a 23-year-old suspect, shot Alexandria in the Kroger parking lot. Harrison shot Borys, 26, before fleeing in a white Ford. “From what I’ve heard, they either settled the argument or Alex left. According to the evidence, Alexandria was shot while turning around, according to Alexandria’s husband, Tyler Borys.
Harrison surrendered within a short time. She arrived at the Irmo Police Department around 5:30 p.m., before Borys was pronounced dead. She was charged with murder, carrying a gun without a license, and having a weapon while committing a violent crime. According to Tyler Borys, the incident happened in front of their two-year-old and an infant who were in the car at the time.
Tyler called her the “greatest wife you could ever wish for” and claimed that while she was in cosmetology school, “she created a powerful support system.”Alexandria also studied nursing. Borys also claims that “she was a terrific mother.” He is now on his own to raise his son or daughter. The family set up a GoFundMe page.
The pain was exacerbated by Alexandria’s death, which occurred only one week after her brother died tragically from an unrelated gunshot wound. The tragedy had an impact on the entire neighborhood. It makes me slightly more conscious because it’s a difficult time for everyone, said Tabitha Foster, an Irmo resident.
Shawne Edwards, another Irmo resident, stated, “That shopping center is our go-to shopping center, so this whole dynamic has a rippling effect throughout the entire neighborhood.”
