Ailish Walsh’s body was discovered in December at her Rectory Road residence. A man has acknowledged using a set of scissors to murder his pregnant girlfriend.
At the Old Bailey, Liam Taylor, 37, pleaded guilty to murdering Ailish Walsh, 28, who was 22 weeks pregnant and had more than 40 puncture wounds.
After what was deemed a “ferocious” assault, she was discovered on December 15 at her home on Rectory Road in Hackney, east London. Later, the victim’s Father found her bloodied and dead.
She had the defendant’s debit card in the pocket of a high-visibility jacket covering her. Two dumbbells and a set of bloodied scissors were discovered nearby.
Taylor, of Hornsey, north London, was seen on CCTV entering the property through the communal entrance at 20:36 GMT and leaving at 21:14 GMT.
