She is a comedian noted due to her presence on the eighth season of Last Comic Standing playing the role of a contestant and on The Young Turks playing the role of a commentator.
She tries to change painful episodes of her life into comedy material, while also addressing hard issues like misogyny and racism. Aida was the best ten finalists in the eighth season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing (2014), but was removed in the seventh episode of the season following losing a head-to-head showdown against Rod Man (who ultimately received the LCS title). She completed in a tie for ninth place.
Via the stand-up comedy circuit, Aida met Tiffany Haddish, who has proven a long-time peer and a strong advocate for women of color comics. In August 2019, Aida became featured in the comedy anthology series Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready on Netflix. Aida became one of six featured comedians, each given a half-hour comedy special.
