Zimmer began his professional career as a player. In addition, from 2002 to 2005, he was a member of the Trinity University Tigers football team.
He was assigned to the job of safety, and he excelled in it.
Coaching as a profession
Zimmer earned his bachelor’s degree from Trinity University in 2006. After graduating from university, he went straight to work as a coach.
Adam’s coaching career began with the New Orleans Saints. In 2006, he started working as an assistant linebackers coach.
Furthermore, the Saints won the NFC South Division in Zimmer’s first season in the league. Similarly, they earned a berth in the NFC Championship game.
Zimmer’s final season was also in 2009. The Saints were crowned Super Bowl XLIV champions in 2009.
Zimmer left the Saints after three seasons to pursue his next opportunity.
Zimmer then went on to work as an assistant linebacker with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2010, he also started working with the Chiefs.
He spent three seasons with the Chiefs. Zimmer also coached and assisted Tamba Hali, Justin Houston, and Derrick Johnson in making the Pro Bowl
